Feelin’ Grovey

We headed out to our favorite local camping spot for music and camping on Thursday afternoon.   The grove of live oak trees in the lower right corner of this photo was our home for three nights. Kenney Grove camp ground is about an hour from our house.

The handful of us who arrive on Thursday for our group camp out were treated to sights like this.  WonderWoman, the camp manager is this amazing person who planted just about everything but the live oak trees in the 30 years that she’s been here.   She’s originally from Ohio, which is maybe while we’ve bonded.  No, come to think of it, it’s more likely that she has uncommon common sense and a great way of dealing with people.  Catching up with her is always a good part of  my weekend.

This footbridge crosses the usually dry creek that bisects the campground.   Keep your eye on that creek.

What a GORGEOUS place! What could be better than camping & singing in such surroundings?!

You’d love it! The people we camp with are really gentle caring folk.

  3. Beautiful place! I’ll bet the creek’s not dry at the moment, though.

Right you are, Mark! But when I tried to load more photos last night I found out I have to buy more space for my blog. I wish they’d give more notice than “you’ve worn out your welcome as of _now_.”

We keep saying it’s like we’re in another, greener land all this spring. We’re not used to quite so much green everywhere!
