Dog Day Camp

This is Stella, Wonder Woman’s new dog.  Stella was hit by a car and her head was banged up badly when she was 8 weeks old.   The vet thought she was worth saving.  Wonder Woman brought her home from Mexico with her, and Stella has managed to be hit by vehicles two more times.   She’s sweet, but neeeds to learn a lesson while she’s young!

My friend Tica arrives with BankCamp and Dulce.   What is this magnificent smelling place?   Heaven?

The citizens of nearby Fillmore, CA are using the revenues from the big new ritzy development that was built just outside town to spruce the place up.  We went in looking for a few supplies.

Signs at one of Fillmore’s antique shops.

Meanwhile, back at the camp, we made a lot of music.  Got together with the Harmony Girls and did Lollipop at the evening concert on Saturday.

We’ve been harmonizing when we see each other at camp outs, but after a really good session during this year’s Roundup, we put together a song list, got some lyrics together, made a CD of songs we wanted to work on to prep for this camp out.  I didn’t hear the harmonies  in Paul McCartney’s  “Heart Like a Wheel” until we sang it together.  Oh, wow!

We are now probably a little addicted to each other’s voices and are making plans to get together to harmonize even though we live all over L.A. County and Ventura County.  It’s just too sweet!

I have a feeling we’ll be doing this again and you’ll have a chance!
