Nostalgic Flour

If there were a slight chance I could use this much flour (10 pounds?) before it got infested with bugs, I’d be all over this.   Cute flour sacks.  Who knew they still made these?

Spotted at Albertson’s in Palmdale… a big grocery chain.

  1. Cousin Sharon says:

I would have had to buy it just to have the sack.

  2. Sundry says:

    Very tempting!

Oh yeah! One of the neighbors across the fields used to raise chickens and the lady’d have lots of sacks all washed and stacked and sometimes on a Sun afternoon my sisters-in-law and I would go over and pick out a few. Twenty-five cents each! I could make a cool little summer dress for your older sister and she looked cute as a movie star!

  4. Sundry says:

Kitty – So chicken feed sacks? Amazing. Smart, too.

Also reminds me of how I have and use the glasses that we bought that dessert in at the Paris grocery.
