Spring Break 2 : Mountains to the Shore

Phenom on the rocks at the Devil’s Punchbowl.  It was a great way to start another sunny day.

Following in the footsteps of her dad, my brother, who blazed this trail in 2003.

After  a well-earned lunch at our favorite sushi place, we did a walking tour of UCLA.  It was great revisiting the campus where I went to school and later worked in the libraries from 1989-1999.  Yes, that’s Phenom and I on the steps.

Down to the beach and the Santa Monica Pier for Cirque du Soleil’s OVO.  Those big Las Vegas shows are great, but there’s a particular magic to seeing this amazing human circus under the big top, where it started.  It was a terrific show.

We had our photo taken during intermission and we were given a code to pick up the photo online the next day.  Are we having fun?  Yes, we are!  Phenom in her new UCLA sweatshirt.  It was chilly on the Pacific coast!

Southern California locales make it an easy position to fill. I love exploring, and showing off the area to family and friends.
