How Do You Solve a Problem Like Sangria?

Summer.  Fresh fruit.  Sangria!

This is really almost too easy.  Pour a bottle of red wine (or white, as pictured above) into a pitcher, add fresh fruit (like ripe peaches) and mix in up to 50% fruit juice. For an extra kick, infuse the fruit juice with spices, like ginger.

I cheated and used Trader Joe’s Ginger Lemonade with the wine.  Instant yum.  But if you can stand to let it sit for a couple of hours it will improve.

  1. Sandy says:

Toooooo early this am…..I have to try this…..maybe bring a batch to next Song Circle.

It’s nice in that it’s not too alcoholic, but it feels festive.

  3. Oh, this looks wonderful. I went out with my girlfriends a few weekends ago and we just drank sangria. The restaurant we went to had 4 different sangrias on the menu so we had to have a carafe of each. Very cunning plan to get you to buy more. It’s much cheaper and not difficult to make at home though. Even though it’s winter here, I think I will make a pitcher to enjoy this weekend.
